2022 Youth Olympic Games: Nigeria Set To Participate In Kung Fu

The President of Nigeria Wushu KungFu Federation, Adekunle Adewunmi says the nation’s athletes will feature at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar.
Adewunmi told reporters that Wushu Kungfu has been upgraded to full regular/compulsory sport by the Nigerian Sports council since 2018.

He said, “We will be flying the National colours in the next World Youth Olympic games in Dakar. Our participation is high and Wushu Kungfu has come up in the
limelight of global world sports. “We did not need to convince the Ministry of Sports to include Wushu Kungfu on the medal table at the next National sports
festival in Edo. Wushu Kungfu has since 2018 been upgraded to full regular compulsory sport by the Nigerian Sports council”.
