2Baba Appears in Court With Lawmaker Partner as Edo Tribunal Delivers Judgment
Nigerian music icon Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia was spotted in court on Wednesday alongside Natasha Osarawu, his new partner and a member of the Edo State House of Assembly. The couple arrived hand in hand as the Edo State governorship election tribunal prepared to deliver its much-anticipated judgment.
2Baba and Natasha first made headlines in February when the singer accompanied her to a plenary session in Benin City. Shortly after, the African Queen hitmaker declared his intention to marry the Edo lawmaker and later proposed to her in a viral video.
His relationship with Natasha came amid reports of trouble in his marriage to actress Annie Idibia. While 2Baba has maintained that his new romance had nothing to do with the issues in his marriage, Annie recently returned to social media, updating her name to Annie Uwana Macaulay, dropping the Idibia surname.
Natasha, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is in the spotlight as her party’s candidate in the September 21, 2024 Edo governorship election challenges the victory of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The tribunal, led by Justice Wilfred Kpochi, had reserved its verdict since March 3 after hearing final submissions.
With the judgment now set to be delivered, all eyes are on the courtroom, where political tensions run high, and 2Baba’s presence adds another layer of intrigue.
