4 ways to cleanse your lungs. 8 lung friendly foods you can eat

Lungs are a pair of organs located in the chest cavity that is primarily responsible for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide that takes place in the human body. They are responsible for adding oxygen to and removing carbon dioxide from the blood, in a process called respiration. In this process, incoming air known as oxygen enters the blood while carbon dioxide, the waste gas from metabolism leaves the blood. When the lungs see a drastic reduction in their ability to perform this role, it will, in turn, lead to a reduced ability to exchange gases.

The human lungs are equipped with self-cleaning mechanisms, but sometimes, we may have to step in to further enhance this cleansing action of the lungs, especially because these days, it is becoming increasingly clear that the air we breathe is often contaminated, no thanks to the exhaust from cars and generators, and chemicals released into the atmosphere by industries. The implication is that many of these can be trapped in the air and then enter our lungs, which could cause minor or major damage to our lungs.
