Adeboye Condemns Banditry Attacks On Monarchs

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,(RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Saturday condemned the recent attacks by bandits on monarchs, describing them as disrespect to the traditional institution. Adeboye added that God would put an end to the reign of terror and violence in Nigeria. The cleric spoke in Ado Ekiti, during a visit to Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Adeboye spoke against the backdrop of attacks on two traditional rulers in Ekiti State. The Elewu of Ewu Ekiti, was waylaid and shot by gunmen, though he escaped with gunshot injuries. Also, the Obadu of IIemeso Ekiti, was on Thursday abducted in his palace. His whereabouts remain unknown. Concerned by the attacks, Adeboye said, “I have committed myself to fight the battle for the soul of the nation spiritually.” The cleric said he was in the state to ordain about 1,000 pastors of the RCCG.
