Ighalo wins Player of the Month Award in Saudi Arabia

Odion Jude Ighalo has won Al Shabab player of the month of May following his impressive performance for the club.

The club via their official Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon confirmed that the former Super Eagles striker has been voted player of the month by the fans.

Ighalo netted six goals in five league outings to help Carlos Inarejos’ men finish the campaign in fantastic fashion with three consecutive wins.

 

Ighalo enjoyed fantastic goal-scoring form in May, netting a brace against Al-Wehda and Ettifaq, before a goal each against Al-Faisal and Al-in.

 

The 32-year-old helped Al Shabab finish second on the table which earned them automatic spot qualification for the season’s AFC Champions League.
