PSG Sets 220M Transfer Fee for Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid

Sporting Director of Paris St Germaine, Leonardo Araújo gave his comments on Kylian Mbappe’s stay in PSG, including the fact that the player could be sold if certain conditions are met. This implies that the offer will be well above the 160 million euros that have been offered by Real Madrid.

The sporting director of PSG indicated that they committed to more than 160m euros for Mbappe when he was signed from Monaco four years ago, having spent a fixed 145m euros for his signature at that time, plus add-ons of 35m euros that should go to Monaco in case of the player renewing or being sold.

In order to make a gainful profit, PSG would want 220m euros to sell Mbappe this summer to potential buyer clubs. This is according to Le Parisien. If this pulls throught, it will be just 2m euros lower than the world record of 222m euros that PSG paid to trigger Neymar’s Barcelona release clause back in 2017.
