Why that headache is actually a Migraine

What is a migraine?

According to the experts, a migraine headache is a pulsing or throbbing pain in one area of the head. It is most times triggered by neurological conditions in the brain. While it is advised for one to check with a doctor for migraine risk, it is veritable to checkout for the early symptoms that could help.

1. Neck pains: When a migraine attack occurs, one may experience a severe headache that may spread to the neck. It can cause stiffness and also make neck movement difficult.

2. Weakness and tingling: People who suffer from migraine may experience weakness and a tingling sensation on one side of the body.

 

3. Insomnia: Sleep deprivation, difficulty in falling asleep or inability to sleep altogether – insomnia can be a major migraine trigger.

4. Brain fog: People who suffer from migraine may also experience brain fog or confusion. Patients may find it difficult to concentrate and think clearly.

5. Sparking lights or flashes: Sparkling lights, various colours, pixelated vision, flashes on one side of the visual field, or multi-coloured zigzag lines are all examples of vision distortion caused by a migraine. A tension or sinus headache does not normally cause vision problems like this one.
