Video Highlights: Manchester United Starts League Losing 2-1 to to Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion dealt Manchester United a bruising 2-1 defeat in Erik ten Hag’s first Premier League match as manager on Sunday.

Pascal Gross scored twice in the first half to give Brighton a stunning 2-0 halftime lead. An own goal by Alexis Mac Allister raised hopes of a comeback at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo was named among the substitutes, with Ten Hag claiming he is not fully fit even if the forward would dispute that as he seeks to leave, and there was a huge cheer as he came on after 53 minutes to replace the woeful Fred and while United did score, and piled on the pressure, they could not salvage a draw.
