Tinubu Rewards Super Eagles with National Honours, Property, and Land

President Bola Tinubu has honored the Super Eagles of Nigeria with national recognition, property in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and parcels of land in recognition of their outstanding performance in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The announcement was made during a reception for the team and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja. Led by the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, the delegation was warmly received by President Tinubu.

The Super Eagles, who emerged as runners-up in the AFCON tournament hosted by Côte d’Ivoire, were lauded for their hard work, dedication, and resilience throughout the competition. Despite facing cyber attacks following their defeat in the final match, the team members and officials attended the ceremony dressed in their green attire.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu praised the team, the coach, and the entire management for their exemplary performance and determination. He highlighted their ability to overcome challenges and consistently improve their performance until reaching the finals.
