Nigeria is set to revolutionize its transportation sector with a bold initiative announced by Minister of Transportation, Senator Saidu Alkali. Speaking at the 18th National Council on Transportation Conference in Abeokuta, Minister Alkali outlined the government’s commitment to embracing sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
In his address, Minister Alkali stressed the urgent need to modernize Nigeria’s transportation systems while aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.” He emphasized the importance of adopting a multifaceted approach, incorporating green manufacturing and industrialization strategies. A key focus of the initiative is the utilization of natural gas as a transition fuel alongside other renewable energy sources.
