Davido, the renowned Nigerian artist, has extended his support to American rapper Kanye West amidst West’s dispute with Adidas, suggesting that West join him at Puma, Adidas’ rival brand.
West recently took to Instagram on February 26, 2024, to accuse Adidas of releasing fake Yeezys and suing him for $250 million. He expressed frustration over the brand’s alleged failure to pay him for shoes bearing his name and claimed that Adidas was exploiting him with unfair contract clauses.
In response, Davido, who is currently affiliated with Puma, encouraged West to consider joining him at Puma, stating, “Come to @puma YE.” Davido’s partnership with Puma began in December 2021, and he has since been actively involved in promoting the brand, including releasing his own collection called “We Rise By Lifting Others” in April 2023.
