Daddy Showkey revealed that his troubles began when he and some other young men discovered a gun in a refuse dump. Emboldened by their find, they began to use the weapon to terrorize the local community. Their reign of fear came to a sudden halt one fateful day when their activities caught up with them.

“One day, when we were out in our usual style, someone saw us and started screaming, ‘thieves, thieves, thieves.’ Then we started running, but we were apprehended. They tied us up. They were about to burn us but we were saved miraculously,” he recalled.
