New Autopsy Suggests Possible Drug Reaction in Mohbad’s Death

Recent autopsy findings have raised speculation regarding the cause of death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa ‘Mohbad’ Aloba, suggesting a potential drug reaction as a contributing factor. The report, obtained by TheCable on June 6, 2024, highlighted limited post-mortem and toxicology findings, indicating the presence of Diphenhydramine, an anti-histamine, in various samples taken for testing.

While the toxicology results revealed the presence of Diphenhydramine, the concentration detected was not deemed fatal or lethal. Diphenhydramine, commonly used to treat allergies and other ailments, is not typically associated with fatal reactions when consumed in normal doses.

Additionally, the autopsy report noted an injury on Mohbad’s right forearm and described his body as moderately to severely decomposed upon exhumation. Mohbad’s untimely demise on September 12, 2023, sparked public outcry and demands for investigation, particularly after it was revealed that he had been administered injections by a quack nurse named Feyisayo Ogedengbe.

The injections, comprising tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, and the antibiotic Cetrazone, reportedly triggered adverse reactions, including vomiting and convulsions, ultimately leading to his passing. The circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death have prompted calls for a thorough investigation into the events leading up to his demise, underscoring the need for clarity and accountability in such cases.
