Seyi Law Tells President Tinubu: “I Don’t Pity You For Taking the Job”

Nigerian comedian Seyi Law recently expressed his views on President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, stating that he does not feel sorry for Tinubu’s decision to become Nigeria’s President. Seyi Law believes that Tinubu has the potential to improve the country, particularly by addressing the issues left behind by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a candid post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, Seyi Law shared his thoughts on the criticism Tinubu has been facing. He argued that the backlash is largely due to Tinubu’s support for Buhari’s return to power, which has led to widespread dissatisfaction among Nigerians.

Seyi Law’s message was clear: “Dear @officialABAT, I am very happy that I never voted for Buhari at any time. I am very happy. All the hits you are receiving today are because you allowed Buhari to rule Nigeria again.” Despite this, he expressed optimism that Tinubu could still help Nigeria recover by tackling the challenges left by the previous administration.

The comedian also acknowledged some of Tinubu’s early actions as President, particularly the removal of the exchange rate arbitrage and fuel subsidy, which Seyi Law admitted had only benefited a select few. He urged Tinubu to introduce more policies that would positively impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

In his concluding remarks, Seyi Law advised President Tinubu to focus on engaging the country’s young population in meaningful dialogue rather than being distracted by those sponsoring protests. He emphasized the importance of not failing in his leadership role and wished blessings upon Tinubu and the nation.
