Selena Gomez Becomes One of the Youngest Self-Made Billionaires
Selena Gomez has officially joined the list of self-made billionaires in the United States. At 32 years old, the actress, singer, and entrepreneur has amassed a fortune of $1.3 billion, as reported by Bloomberg. This achievement makes Gomez one of the youngest billionaires in the country.
While Gomez earns from her successful acting career and brand endorsements, most of her wealth comes from her beauty brand, Rare Beauty. Launched five years ago, Rare Beauty has become popular, particularly among influencers and teens, and plays a major role in her financial success. Bloomberg estimates her stake in the brand, along with her investments in the mental health platform Wondermind and her other ventures, accounts for the bulk of her fortune.
Gomez’s social media presence also contributes to her wealth. With 424 million followers on Instagram, she ranks as the third most-followed person on the platform, behind soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Her large following has led to lucrative partnerships, including a $30 million deal with Puma and a $10 million contract with Coach.
In addition to her business ventures, Gomez earns $6 million per season for her role in the hit Hulu series *Only Murders in the Building*, which was recently renewed for its fifth season. Gomez has also used her platform to support mental health causes, establishing the Rare Impact Fund to raise $100 million for mental health services.
