Social Media Awards 2024: “The Spotlight” Shines in November

The Social Media Awards (SMA) 2024 are set to celebrate outstanding achievements in the social media space with a grand event scheduled for November 23. Announced by Mr. Emmanuel Nwafor, CEO of Alternative Adverts Ltd. and Convener of the awards, the event will take place at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s theme, “The Spotlight,” aims to highlight the significant contributions of individuals, brands, and organizations to the growth and innovation of social media. Nwafor emphasized the importance of acknowledging excellence in social media, given its pivotal role in modern communication, marketing, and culture.

Nominations for the SMA will open on September 12 and close on October 23. Social media users are encouraged to nominate their favorites through the SMA website: www.sma.ng. Voting will commence on September 23 and run until October 30. The awards will honor those who excel in social media strategy, content creation, audience engagement, and community building.

This year’s awards will feature various activities, including charity events, sporting activities, and a nomination party. New award categories have been introduced to ensure a broader representation of social media achievements.

Nwafor highlighted that the SMA 2024 aims to elevate the social media landscape by celebrating creativity, innovation, and authenticity. The awards will continue to be user-based, ensuring a transparent and fair process where the public plays a crucial role in nominations and voting.

Reflecting on the success of the previous year’s SMA, Nwafor promised that this year’s event would be even more spectacular, showcasing the best in social media and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
