Davido and Phyno Visit Olu of Warri Ahead of ‘Warri Again’ Event

Nigerian music stars, Davido and Phyno, paid a visit to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, on Saturday, marking a significant moment in their participation in the upcoming “Warri Again” event. The visit, which took place ahead of the highly anticipated event, also included popular figures like veteran comedian AY Makun and celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest. The event was organized by Amaju Pinnick, the former President of the Nigeria Football Federation.

Photos and videos from the visit surfaced online, showing the stars respectfully going down on their knees as they paid homage to the Olu of Warri. Their gesture was warmly received, reflecting the importance of respect and tradition in Nigerian culture. Cubana Chief Priest, who was visibly excited, shared a photo from the visit on Instagram, praising the king’s demeanor. He described the Olu of Warri as “fresh, smart, detailed, composed, and steezed-up,” adding to the excitement surrounding the event.

The “Warri Again” concert, scheduled for Saturday night, is set to bring together some of the biggest names in Nigerian entertainment. This event has grown in popularity over the years, making it a key highlight in the region’s social calendar. However, this year’s edition gained additional attention due to a past conflict between Davido and Pinnick. In October 2023, Pinnick publicly criticized Davido for not fulfilling his performance obligations during the previous edition of the concert, despite being paid the agreed fee.

Fortunately, by March 2024, both parties reached an amicable resolution, deciding to settle the matter privately without going to court. Their ability to resolve the issue demonstrated the power of dialogue in maintaining strong relationships within the Nigerian entertainment industry. As Davido and Pinnick have moved past their differences, the focus has now shifted back to the “Warri Again” event, where fans are eagerly anticipating an unforgettable night.

The concert promises to be a grand celebration, with the presence of top celebrities and performances by some of the most talented artists in the country. Fans are hopeful that the reconciliation between Davido and Pinnick will add to the positive energy surrounding the event, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
