Biodun Okewo Addresses Allegations of Snatching Husband from Lola Idije’s Daughter
Nollywood actress Biodun Okewo, widely known as Omoborty, has firmly rejected allegations that she snatched her husband from Lola Idije’s daughter. The controversy erupted following claims made by Instagram blogger Gislover, who suggested that Okewo’s recent marriage to her U.S.-based partner, Adeniyi Olabiyi, in July resulted from breaking up a relationship between him and Idije’s daughter.
In a video response circulating online, Okewo clarified that neither Lola Idije nor her daughter had any prior acquaintance with Adeniyi, asserting that the first communication between them occurred through her. She emphasized that the allegations were unfounded, stating, “My husband doesn’t know any of Actress Lola Idije’s daughters. In fact, it was through me that Actress Lola and my husband spoke for the first time. I didn’t snatch anybody’s husband.”
The actress further revealed that she regards Lola Idije as a mother figure following the passing of her biological mother, highlighting the close bond she shares with her senior colleague. Okewo also called upon her fellow industry members, particularly actress Tosin, to clarify their stance on the rumors, urging them to publicly address the situation to put the matter to rest.
This clarification comes amid reports that the alleged relationship controversy affected the attendance of several industry colleagues at her wedding. By addressing the rumors head-on, Biodun Okewo aims to dispel misunderstandings and reinforce the authenticity of her relationship with Adeniyi.
