Youtuber Korty Faces Criticism After Calling Out Davido Over Unreleased Interview

Popular Nigerian YouTuber Korty EO is facing significant backlash on social media after publicly calling out music star Davido and his team for refusing to allow the release of an interview. On October 26, 2024, Korty shared a snippet of the highly anticipated interview on X, expressing her excitement about its upcoming release.

She announced, “Randomly decided to rework my video with @davido, I’ll drop it tomorrow by 1 PM.” However, the following day, Korty revealed her frustration when Davido’s team denied her permission to post the video, despite her efforts to re-edit it.

“They agreed that I should re-edit this video and now have said I must not post it for reasons I still don’t understand. I am not scared of anyone, but I am wise enough to stay out of battles I’m not equipped for,” she stated in her post.

Her comments sparked criticism from many users on X, including Davido’s fans, who reminded her of a past post where she expressed her desire to interview the artist. One user commented, “You putting it out like they begged you…you literally asked them to be on your show.”

In response to the criticism, Korty fired back, stating, “Ode, they reached out to me. But you can’t relate because all you’ve ever done in your miserable life is beg and tweet like the ignorant fool you are.”

Additionally, Korty emphasized that artists should refrain from appearing on her show if they intend to later restrict the release of the interview. She wrote, “I’ve filmed so many artists who eventually tell me not to post the video. If you don’t want people to see you for who you are, please do not come on my show. Stop wasting my time.”

She also acknowledged that her intense approach might not be for everyone, stating, “It’s beautiful that the greats recognize me, but my approach can be too intense for some of them, and that’s okay; we will charge it to the game, thank the Lord, and keep working.”

After the backlash, Korty shared a message of gratitude, saying, “I no rant again, love you all for supporting me even on the days I’m going crazy.”
