May Edochie Clarifies Divorce Stance Amid Public Criticism

May Edochie, the estranged wife of renowned actor Yul Edochie, has publicly addressed the criticism she has faced from some men since her divorce proceedings began. In 2023, May reportedly filed for divorce on the grounds of adultery following Yul’s marriage to fellow actress Judy Austin. This decision sparked reactions, with some individuals claiming May was promoting divorce.

During an interview on the *Glasshouse* podcast with comedian AY Makun, May Edochie shared her perspective on marriage and divorce. She noted that her intentions have been misunderstood by critics, particularly men who believe she is influencing women in their relationships.

“Some men see me as someone who is misleading their wives,” May revealed during the discussion. However, she clarified her views, stating, “I love family and marriage, but there is a misconception about marriage that is different. Ideally, marriage is the basis of family, because there would be no you or me without family. That is how it used to be.”
