Kebbi State Governor Appoints 200 Special Advisers to Rehabilitate Political Youths

In a significant move aimed at rehabilitating political youths and promoting inclusive governance, Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has appointed 200 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Special Assistants (SAs) with monthly salaries. This initiative is designed to empower political youths and integrate them into the state’s governance framework.

The appointment letters were officially handed over at the State APC Secretariat in Birnin Kebbi, with the presentation conducted by the State Party Chairman, Abubakar Muhammadu Kana Zuru. According to Yahaya Sarki, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, the initiative aligns with Governor Idris’s vision to transform political youths into productive societal contributors.

Zuru highlighted that Governor Idris has already fulfilled 85% of his campaign promises. As a veteran labor leader, the Governor’s focus on transparent and inclusive governance has seen tangible improvements in the state. “Kauran Gwandu has delivered on his promises and continues to improve Kebbi State’s governance,” Zuru stated.

The State APC Youth Leader, Atiku Bio Zauro, emphasized the importance of the appointees acting responsibly and remaining law-abiding citizens, especially during public events. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to the political youths, highlighting the positive impact of the monthly stipends and roles assigned to the appointees.

One of the newly appointed SAs, Mallam Kalala, pledged that the youths would reject all forms of thuggery and disruptive behavior. He assured the public that the group would act responsibly, particularly during events attended by the Governor.

Key dignitaries also attended the event, including the State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, and the Commissioner for Animal Health, Husbandry, and Fisheries, Kabiru Usman Alaramma. Other notable attendees included Malam Yahaya Sarki, Chief Press Secretary Alhaji Ahmed Idris, and the State APC Women Leader, Hajiya Aishatu Gunabi.
