Singer Mr Eazi Mourns the Loss of His Mother
Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Ajibade, widely known as Mr Eazi, has announced the passing of his mother, Ifeoma Edith Ajibade.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the music star shared an emotional tribute alongside a heartfelt photo of them together.
“Thank you, Mummy, for your strength, your sacrifices, your unwavering faith. For raising us with love, discipline, and devotion to God. For teaching me confidence, entrepreneurship, forgiveness, and family. You were my greatest protector, my toughest critic, and truest fan. You were not perfect, but you were perfect to me. Your legacy lives on. Rest well, Ifeoma Edith Ajibade,” he wrote.
Mr Eazi, born on July 19, 1991, is a well-known Nigerian singer, songwriter, and businessman. He pioneered the Banku Music genre, blending Ghanaian highlife with Nigerian Afrobeats. His rise to fame came with hit songs like Skin Tight and Leg Over, leading to collaborations with major artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and J Balvin.
Beyond music, Mr Eazi founded emPawa Africa, a platform dedicated to supporting emerging African artists. He also has a strong business background, studying Mechanical Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana.
