Mohbad’s Widow Pleads With Father-in-Law to Bury Late Singer
Wunmi, the widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has taken to social media to plead with the public to help convince her father-in-law to bury her husband.
Mohbad passed away in September 2023, but his burial has been delayed, leaving his widow heartbroken. In a recent Instagram post, Wunmi expressed deep sorrow over the prolonged wait, stating that his body has remained in the morgue for far too long.
“It has been 18 months. The heavens know how much I miss him. Every day, I wake up to a reality filled with pain I never asked for,” she wrote.
She urged the public to appeal to Mohbad’s father, asking him to give the late singer a proper burial.
“To the general public, I am begging you to help me ask my father-in-law to bury my husband. There is no reason for his body to still be in the morgue after all this time. The man I vowed to love forever has been left in cold storage, denied the dignity of a final resting place,” she lamented.
Wunmi also shared her emotional struggle, stating that she has endured not only grief but also the injustice of watching people turn her pain into entertainment.
Mohbad was initially buried the day after his passing but was later exhumed for an autopsy as part of an ongoing investigation. Nearly two years later, the case remains unresolved, and his body has not been reburied.
