ABUAD Launches Fertility Centre to Address Infertility Challenges
The Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti Multi-System Hospital (ABUAD MSH) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art fertility centre to provide solutions for couples struggling with infertility. Speaking at the launch, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Dr. Kolawole Ogundipe, emphasized the emotional and social burdens faced by childless couples, including stigma, isolation, and health complications like high blood pressure and depression.
Ogundipe described infertility as a significant global challenge and highlighted the new centre’s mission to support couples longing for parenthood. He noted that the facility is equipped with advanced In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technology and other modern reproductive healthcare tools to ensure high success rates.
The CMD explained that the centre aims to eliminate the financial strain of medical tourism by offering affordable treatments significantly below global averages, making these services accessible to more families.
Aare Afe Babalola, the founder of ABUAD, called the launch a pivotal moment for the institution, aimed at bringing hope to countless families. He dismissed claims that the hospital charges exorbitant fees, asserting that many patients have debunked such rumors.
The fertility centre offers cutting-edge services, including intra-cytoplasmic semen injection, egg freezing and preservation, ovulation induction and monitoring, and fertility counseling. Babalola praised the hospital’s staff for their dedication to quality service and progress in improving healthcare delivery.
