Actor Vows to Campaign for Tinubu Again Despite Naked Prayer Controversy
Renowned Nollywood actor, Olaiya Igwe, reaffirms his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming elections, dismissing any regrets over his unconventional campaign methods.
In a notable incident preceding the 2023 presidential election, Igwe garnered widespread attention for conducting a naked prayer ritual at a beach, fervently advocating for Tinubu’s candidacy.
Following the ensuing controversy, Igwe publicly apologized to his fans and the Nigerian populace for his unconventional demonstration of support. In a video titled “Apologies to All My Fans,” shared on his YouTube channel, Igwe attributed his actions to a divine revelation, seeking understanding from his audience.
However, in a recent interview with Kola Olootu, Igwe reiterated his steadfast allegiance to Tinubu, asserting that his previous apologies did not signify regret for his endorsement.
Emphatically stating his stance, Igwe declared, “Some people are saying I regret campaigning for Tinubu. I do not regret campaigning for Tinubu; I will do it again if I have the opportunity.”
