The Lagos State Government on March 10 also suspended NURTW operations in all parks following the tension sparked by some events in the union.

However, Akinsanya’s son, with the alias, King West, on Instagram, congratulated his father on his appointment as the “General Manager of the Lagos State Transport Parks and Garages Committee”.

The government, in a statement, denied the development.

After the Thursday announcement of Akinsanya  as the chairman of the parks committee, some special media users said the move was wrong while other commended it.

A Twitter user said, “News of MC Oluomo as Parks Management Chairman, despite initial official denials by the LASG is a confirmation of the unholy alliance between a rogue union operative and the ruling APC cabal and it is at the detriment of Lagos commuters. I said this o n radio two weeks ago.

Another Twitter user also tweeted, “Lagos appoints MC Oluomo Parks Management Committee chairman. From grass to grace to Ogo 5G, our incoming Minister of Transportation. Just imagine the kind of person chairing Lagos parks, their centre of excellence?
