Asake Makes History as Nigeria’s Biggest Artist of 2024
Nigerian music sensation Asake has solidified his dominance in the industry, being crowned the No. 1 Artist of the Year for the third consecutive time by TurnTable Charts.
According to TurnTable Charts, his third studio album, Lungu Boy, was the best-performing album of 2024. The project spent a record-breaking 15 weeks at No. 1, making it his third consecutive album to achieve this feat. This follows his previous successes with Mr. Money With The Vibe (2022) and Work of Art (2023), making him the first artist to top the year-end album chart since its inception.
The two-time Grammy nominee’s achievement cements his status as Nigeria’s biggest artist, with no other musician winning the TurnTable Artist of the Year award three times in a row.

The recognition of Mavin’s Marketing Team for their campaign, The Year I Turned 21, and Director Pink for outstanding achievement in music video direction further highlighted the diverse contributions to Nigeria’s music industry in 2024.
