Atiku Firmly Pledges Allegiance to PDP Amidst Rumors of Party Switch – Exclusive

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has vehemently refuted claims circulating in a national newspaper suggesting his intention to abandon the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a newly formed party ahead of the 2027 general elections. Atiku, speaking through his dedicated platform, reiterated his unwavering commitment to the PDP while advocating for a strategic merger of opposition forces to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement addressing the speculations, Atiku emphasized his long-standing loyalty to the PDP and his continuous support for the party’s objectives. Despite experiencing defeat in the 2023 presidential election under the PDP banner, Atiku remains an influential figure within the party’s ranks, yet to confirm his participation in the forthcoming 2027 presidential race.

The statement also criticized the relentless pursuit of personal interests by key political figures, notably mentioning Bola Tinubu of the APC.
