Ayra Starr Confidently Prepares for the Grammys

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, whose song ‘Rush’ earned a nomination at the 66th Grammys in the Best African Music Performance category, is brimming with confidence. The Mavin Records artist, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, revealed in an interview with Cool FM Nigeria that she’s already penned her acceptance speech.

Despite the stiff competition, Ayra Starr remains optimistic about clinching the prestigious award. “I have my Grammys speech ready. It is quite long because it is the first African category. I already know my walk, my outfit,” she confidently expressed.

Ayra Starr shared her plans for celebration if she wins, highlighting a visit to a Chinese restaurant for a meal and a video call to her mother. The 66th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 4, 2024, in Los Angeles, will witness Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’ competing against tracks by industry heavyweights like Davido, Burna Boy, and Olamide.
