Basketmouth Pitches Idea for 2Baba’s Return to Nollywood
Renowned comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has extended an invitation to legendary musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, aka 2Baba, to consider a full-fledged return to the Nigerian movie industry.
Impressed by 2Baba’s recent performance in the latest episode of his skits, “The Secret Of Lulu,” Basketmouth encouraged the music icon to explore a more extensive acting career, particularly leveraging his unique Tiv accent.
Expressing his admiration for 2Baba’s comedic role in the skit, Basketmouth revealed plans to incorporate the singer’s character into an upcoming project, envisioning it as a potential masterpiece.
Taking to his social media handle, Basketmouth directly addressed 2Baba, proposing the idea of collaborating on a project inspired by his skit character. He wrote, “My brother @official2baba, we should create something beautiful from this character you played here. I think it’s going to be a masterpiece. My brain don dey cook something already. Think about it blood.”
As of now, 2Baba has yet to respond to Basketmouth’s proposal.
This initiative marks Basketmouth’s effort to tap into the crossover potential of 2Baba’s talents, leveraging his popularity and versatility in both music and acting spheres.
It’s worth noting that 2Baba has previously made appearances in Nollywood productions, including ‘Head Gone,’ ‘Make A Move,’ and a cameo in ’10 Days In Sun City.’ This potential collaboration could signal his return to the Nollywood scene in a more substantial role.
