Basketmouth Set to Release First Feature Film, ‘A Ghetto Love Story,’ in November 2024

Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, widely known as Basketmouth, has announced his entry into filmmaking with his debut feature-length film, titled A Ghetto Love Story. The film is scheduled for release in November 2024 under the banner of Baron World Entertainment, the production company he founded.

Basketmouth shared this exciting news on his social media platforms, expressing that this project represents a significant new chapter in his career. He co-wrote the film with Victoria Eze, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release. Known for his influential presence in the entertainment industry, Basketmouth’s transition from comedy to film has been eagerly awaited by fans.

Basketmouth’s career began in the early 1990s with stand-up comedy, where he quickly gained recognition for his sharp wit and relatable humor. His popularity soared with appearances in various music videos, including the 2000 hit ‘Gra Gra’ by Afrobeat legend Lagbaja. Over the years, his success in comedy led him to explore other areas in the entertainment industry.
