BBNaija Drama: Wanni Ends Relationship with Shaun Over Trust Issues

Wanni, a housemate on Big Brother Naija’s ‘No Loose Guard’ season, has officially announced the end of her relationship with fellow contestant Shaun. The split comes amid rising tensions and trust issues that have developed between the two since they began dating on the show.

According to Daily Sun, Wanni and Shaun, both of whom have the AS genotype, started their relationship within the BBNaija house. However, their romance quickly faced challenges. During a recent live program, the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, highlighted a series of incidents that deepened the rift between the couple.

Shaun had previously admitted that his initial attraction in the house was toward another contestant, Nelly, but he ended up with Wanni because Nelly didn’t make the first move. He further commented that Wanni did not fit his idea of an ideal partner, particularly criticizing her as “hot-headed,” which he believed could bring out negative traits in him. “On the outside, hot-headed women are not my spec because they tend to bring out the worst in you,” Shaun said, hinting at his frustrations with Wanni’s personality.

During the live show, Ebuka confronted Shaun, asking if he chose to be with Wanni simply because she approached him first, rather than pursuing his initial interest, Nelly. Shaun tried to downplay the tension by stating, “Wanni has always been my first choice.” Despite this, Ebuka’s comments stirred feelings of betrayal and uncertainty for Wanni.

Following the revelations, Wanni decided to end her relationship with Shaun. In a conversation with her twin sister, Handi, Wanni expressed her frustration with Shaun’s behavior. “God forbid Shaun’s childish behaviour. He’s not an alpha male. I’m done with him; he likes drama. Imagine him trying to beef me, couldn’t even congratulate us for surviving eviction. There are so many traits that this boy shows that makes me very scared,” she said, clearly indicating that she had reached her limit with the relationship.

Handi attempted to persuade Wanni to reconsider her decision, but Wanni stood firm, declaring she had made up her mind to cut ties with Shaun for good.
