BBNaija: Phyna Refutes Whitemoney’s Claims About Prize Reception
Former Big Brother Naija winner, Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has denied claims made by her colleague Whitemoney that she has received her remaining prizes from the reality show’s organisers and sponsors. Whitemoney recently stated in an interview that Phyna, who won Season 7 of the show in 2022 and has previously called out the organisers over incomplete prizes, had finally received all her winnings, including 1 BTC.
Responding to these claims on Wednesday, Phyna clarified that she never told Whitemoney she had received the prizes. She expressed her surprise at his statement and reiterated that she has decided to move on and not discuss the 1 BTC anymore.
Phyna emphasized that her current focus is on her acting career and urged the public to stay out of her personal matters. On her X handle, Phyna wrote: “Good morning everyone, this is to clear the air that: I never told Whitemoney what he went on to say on the podcast, I was surprised to see it myself. About the 1 BTC, I have decided to forget and never talk about it anymore, as I am currently focusing on my projects. Please, I urge everyone to stay out of my business, I am tired. Every day I hear things I didn’t get, I hear I’m dating people I’m not even talking to. You have to believe in yourself when no one else does, has always been the life I lived enough of the assumptions.”
Phyna’s decision to focus on her acting projects marks a shift away from the controversy surrounding her BBNaija winnings, highlighting her resolve to concentrate on her future endeavours.
