Nollywood actress Beverly Naya has candidly shared her ordeal with cyberbullying, revealing that the relentless negativity once pushed her to the brink of quitting acting.

In a heartfelt conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Naya disclosed how the onslaught of online attacks took a toll on her mental health, leaving her feeling isolated and depressed.

Recalling the intense scrutiny she faced from a particular blog, Naya expressed feeling personally targeted by the constant barrage of criticism directed at her work, admitting that it made her question her worth in the industry.

The actress revealed that the persistent attacks made her contemplate leaving acting altogether, citing a deep sense of disillusionment and self-doubt fueled by the relentless negativity.

Naya became emotional as she recounted a particularly hurtful post that questioned her relevance in Nollywood, confessing that it shattered her confidence and left her on the verge of depression.

Despite the challenges, Naya has established herself as a talented actress, featuring in prominent Nollywood productions and even winning accolades such as the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Documentary for her film “Skin.”
