Biola Adebayo Gifts Dupe Jayesimi a Car on Mother’s Day
Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo made Mother’s Day unforgettable for veteran actress Dupe Jayesimi by surprising her with a brand-new car.
The heartwarming gesture came after Jayesimi opened up about her struggles with childlessness, revealing the emotional pain that once led her to alcoholism. During an appearance on Biola Bayo’s podcast, she shared how infertility affected her life, including the collapse of her marriage despite undergoing IVF twice.
“I did marry when I was pregnant, but after the wedding, I had a miscarriage,” she recalled. She also spoke about another pregnancy that was later discovered to be outside the womb, dashing her hopes of becoming a mother.
Jayesimi revealed the pain of raising other people’s children, only to be reminded that they were not hers. “I raised my younger sister’s child, but on the wedding day, she told me, ‘You cannot sit there; even if you spent millions, the child is still mine.’ That broke me,” she said.
On Sunday, March 30, Biola Adebayo and her team visited Jayesimi’s home to present the surprise gift. A video shared on social media captured the emotional moment as Biola prayed before handing over the car keys. Overcome with emotion, Jayesimi broke down in tears, expressing her deep gratitude.
