It was gathered that properties worth millions of naira were destroyed in the turf war that sent residents fleeing the affected area for fear of reprisal attacks.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Macdon, who confirmed the clash in a statement said only four lives were lost in the clash.
According to sources, trouble started when the two fraternities engaged each other in a fierce fight on Sunday over alleged encroachment into some parks earmarked for a different group to collect the parking tolls, forcing angry reactions from the opposing group.
The war started in Idu, in Uruan Local Government Area, and spread to the local communities of Use Offot, Ekpri Nsukara, and Oniong communities in Uyo LGA.
