Bobrisky Declares Identity as a Woman, Dismisses Concerns Over Trump’s Gender Policy
Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has stated that he has no issues with United States President Donald Trump’s recent policy recognizing only two genders—male and female. Bobrisky reaffirmed that he identifies as a woman and has undergone procedures to support his claim.
The policy, signed as part of Trump’s executive orders on his first day back in office, mandates that all U.S. government policies adhere strictly to the recognition of two genders. Trump emphasized this during his inaugural address, saying, “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”
The announcement sparked widespread reactions, including debates in Nigeria about how the policy might impact individuals like Bobrisky, who has been vocal about his identity. Addressing the discussions on social media, Bobrisky confidently stated that the policy does not concern him.
“I don’t have business with Trump. Trump said we only have two genders, right? And I said I’m now a woman that has undergone everything. If they asked for evidence, I will show them simple!” Bobrisky shared on Instagram.
The social media personality also dismissed any doubts about his financial ability to afford medical procedures, adding, “I look like someone who’s broke that cannot afford a doctor fee? So rest with your Trump this, Trump that.”
Bobrisky further noted that he appreciates that the policy does not interfere with same-sex marriage, saying, “At least he didn’t stop same-sex marriage for those who are still interested, so rest.”
Known for his bold and unapologetic personality, Bobrisky has consistently been a figure of controversy and conversation in Nigeria. His declaration underscores his confidence in his identity, regardless of political policies or public opinion.
