Bobrisky Reportedly Arrested at Seme Border Amidst Bribery Investigation

Nigerian celebrity crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has reportedly been arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) while attempting to flee the country. The arrest allegedly occurred at the Seme border, where Bobrisky was caught trying to escape to Benin Republic amidst an ongoing investigation.

The news was shared by social media activist Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), in an Instagram post on Monday. According to VDM, Bobrisky was apprehended by immigration officers at the border. He revealed that Bobrisky tried to flee Nigeria while investigations by the House of Representatives were underway, concerning bribery allegations involving officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

In a video shared by VDM, he displayed a message stating, “Bobrisky was arrested this morning at Seme border post on his way to escape to Benin Republic. He sent someone to help him sign his international passport, and he hid in his car. The Nigerian immigration service is currently holding him.” The message further fueled public interest in the situation.

VDM has since urged both Bobrisky and the Nigerian Immigration Service to clarify the rumors surrounding the arrest. The situation remains unclear, as Bobrisky has not yet addressed the claims. The crossdresser’s alleged arrest comes just as he was scheduled to appear before a legislative panel at the House of Representatives, raising questions about the timing.

Bobrisky has been under scrutiny after leaked audio recordings surfaced in which he allegedly admitted to bribing his way out of prison with the help of a powerful “Godfather.” He was also accused of having a money laundering case dropped by the EFCC. Despite the serious nature of these allegations, Bobrisky has remained silent on both the investigation and the rumors of his arrest.
