Brazil Footballers Mock Argentina Following Knock-Out From Tokyo Olympics

Brazil Argentina Olympics

Argentina’s football team didn’t make it through the group stage at the Tokyo Olympics, much to the delight of Brazil midfielder Douglas Luiz, who posted a picture on social media to tease the Albiceleste players.

Finishing third in Group C behind Spain and Egypt, Argentina failed to qualify for the quarter-finals, while the Selecao managed to secure their place in the last eight and will face Egypt.

“Goodbye little brothers,” Douglas Luiz wrote on Instagram, where he uploaded a photo waving goodbye to the Argentines along with teammates Matheus Cunha, Reinier Jesus and Richarlison.

A few days ago, Leandro Paredes mocked Richarlison after the Everton forward netted a hat-trick in Brazil‘s Tokyo Olympics opener against Germany.

“And how about the final?” asked Paredes, referring to the Copa America decider where he was part of the Argentina team that beat Brazil 1-0 to lift the trophy.
