Buhari, Obaseki, Oshiomhole mourn businessman, Okunbo
The President, Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state and former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole were among Nigerians who commiserated with the family, friends and associates of the Chairman of Ocean Marine Solutions, Idahosa Okunbo, over the death of the renowned businessman and philanthropist at 63.
Okunbo passed away on Sunday in the United Kingdom where he had been receiving treatment for cancer.
Meanwhile, the family of the late Okunbo, headed by Dr. Tinyan Okunbo, said, “We thank God for a life of service and dedication to humanity that the late businessman lived and we take solace in the fact that he lived a good life and he has gone to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”.
Also, an Itsekiri leader, Mr. Matthew Tsekure, described Okunbo’s death as a big loss not only to the Edo people but the entire Itsekiri nation as a whole.
