Burna Boy Comments on Davido’s Custody Battle Amid Social Media Dialogue

Nigerian music icon and Grammy Award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, recently stirred controversy with his remarks directed at fellow artist David Adeleke, popularly called Davido.

The online exchange began when a social media user prompted Burna Boy to consider marriage, citing Davido’s ongoing legal dispute with Sophia Momodu, his first baby mama, over custody matters. This came shortly after Davido’s extravagant wedding ceremony with longtime girlfriend Chioma in Lagos.

Davido faced criticism for publicly referencing his late son, Ifeanyi, during a discussion, which elicited strong reactions from Burna Boy and other figures in the music industry.

In response to Davido’s emotional outburst, Burna Boy intervened and called on another artist, Dammy Krane, to retract contentious remarks about Davido. Burna Boy then took to social media to cryptically comment on the situation, stating, “Odogwu too wise, who no hear go feel.”

Amidst the dialogue, a follower encouraged Burna Boy to emulate Davido’s example and contemplate settling down. However, Burna Boy maintained his stance, indicating his preference to focus on his current trajectory.
