Cara Delevingne, the renowned model and actress, faced a devastating blow as her $7 million Studio City mansion went up in flames. The inferno, which took place on Friday morning, resulted in extensive damage to the luxurious property, leading to the collapse of its roof.
It took the valiant efforts of 94 firefighters over two grueling hours to finally extinguish the raging blaze. Among the casualties were two individuals, including a firefighter, and a resident of the mansion, who thankfully was not Delevingne herself, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
While Delevingne is currently in the UK, starring in the musical Cabaret in London’s West End, she took to Instagram to express her heartbreak over the incident. Sharing a poignant video and heartfelt messages on her Instagram Story, she hinted at the loss of her beloved pets, accompanied by a broken heart emoji. Despite the devastation, she extended her gratitude to the firefighters and all those who rushed to her aid.
The fire, which erupted near Fryman Canyon Park, sent flames and smoke billowing into the sky, visible even from nearby freeways. Aerial footage captured the extent of the damage, showing the once opulent mansion reduced to smoldering ruins, with a thick plume of smoke rising from its core.
Despite the tragic turn of events, there was a glimmer of hope as Delevingne confirmed that her cats had been rescued from the blaze, providing a small solace amidst the devastation.
