Coleen Rooney Talks Life with Wayne and His Love for Writing Poems
Coleen Rooney, wife of Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, recently opened up about her life with the football icon during an appearance on I’m A Celeb, where she spoke candidly to dancer Oti Mabuse. In the interview, Coleen reflected on the challenges of living in the public eye and the struggles Wayne faced with his fame, revealing a more personal side of their relationship.
Coleen shared that, despite Wayne’s immense success on the football field, he found the fame that came with it difficult to handle. “All he wanted to do was play football. He struggled with the fame side of it, he hated that,” Coleen explained. She noted that if Wayne could have played football without the media attention, he would have been much happier.
Opening up about the difficulties they’ve faced, Coleen acknowledged that Wayne, like many young people thrust into the spotlight, made mistakes as he navigated fame from a very young age. “He’s made mistakes along the way, but from [age] 16, obviously you’re going to, that’s life,” she said. The couple’s relationship has weathered many ups and downs, and Coleen emphasized that they had to grow up quickly, largely due to the intense public scrutiny. “We had to grow up quick, because we were living in the public eye,” she added.
Despite these challenges, Coleen revealed that their relationship has grown stronger over time. “It has been difficult, but we’re happy now, after all those years… we’re a team,” she said, showing a positive outlook on their life together.
In a lighter moment, Coleen also shared that Wayne has a romantic side, often expressing his feelings through creative gestures. She revealed that he enjoys writing her “little poems,” adding a personal and endearing touch to their relationship, far removed from the public glare of his football career.
Coleen’s reflections offer a glimpse into the more private aspects of her life with Wayne Rooney, highlighting the love and understanding that has allowed their relationship to thrive despite the challenges they’ve faced in the spotlight.
