UFC Fighter Named Highest Earning Athlete per minute In the Year 2021
Conor McGregor who debuted in the UFC in 2013 and has since gone on to become the highest-earning athlete in 2021, averaging 6.2 million pounds per minute.
The 33-year-old’s earnings see him earn more per minute than the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
According to research from Ladbrokes, McGregor earned a phenomenal 6.2 million pounds per minute during 2021, which is streets ahead of other fighters in the UFC.
It is important to note that the findings were calculated on the basis that his fights lasted three minutes on average.
McGregor lost his two fights against Dustin Poirier on January 24, 2021, and the rematch on July 11, 2021, but he had the last laugh in terms of earnings for the year.
