Controversy Explodes Over Bobrisky’s “Best Dressed Female” Award: Actress Eniola Ajao Speaks Out
Nigerian actress and filmmaker Eniola Ajao has stepped forward to address the uproar surrounding the presentation of the “Best Dressed Female” award to Bobrisky at the recent premiere of her film, ‘Ajakaju’.
The premiere of Ajao’s highly anticipated film, “Ajanaku: Beast of Two Worlds,” drew a plethora of celebrities, each showcasing captivating costumes, culminating in Bobrisky unexpectedly clinching the title of Best Dressed Female of the Night, accompanied by a one million naira prize.
However, this decision ignited discontent among certain attendees, sparking a heated debate involving figures like Toyin Abraham, Portable, and Dayo Amusa, which spilled over onto social media platforms.
The controversy escalated further with a public dispute emerging between Femi Adebayo and Dayo Amusa, the latter criticizing Adebayo for endorsing Bobrisky as the winner.
In an interview with Arise News TV, Eniola Ajao shed light on the rationale behind awarding Bobrisky, asserting that it was a strategic marketing move aimed at boosting publicity for her film.
Ajao clarified that Bobrisky’s controversial persona played a pivotal role in the decision-making process, as the intention was to generate heightened buzz around the project by awarding him the title of Best Dressed Female.
She emphasized the lighthearted nature of the decision, stating, “It was all jokes. We just want to have fun. We want people to talk about the movie.”
