Cristiano Ronaldo appeals to Manchester Utd fans as he equalizes against Chelsea

Aside from Alejandro Garnacho’s late substitute debut, Cristiano Ronaldo was the only positive for Manchester United against Chelsea. Ronaldo struck United’s goal in the 1-1 draw, cancelling out Marcos Alonso’s opener.

United were not very good, as usual, but at least showed a bit of fight, encouraged on by the Old Trafford crowd.

Ronaldo’s goal gave United’s supporters a much-needed lift, and he was appreciative of the fans who cheered him and the team on.

United have just one more home game remaining this season, next Monday night against Brentford, before two away games against Brighton and Crystal Palace.

Ronaldo, 37, is still scoring goals, netting eight of United’s last nine. He has 23 in all competitions.
