Davido Announces New Release Date for Upcoming Album ‘5ive’
Afrobeats superstar Davido has rescheduled the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, 5ive. Originally set to drop on March 15, 2025, the album will now be released on April 18.
Although Davido has not shared the reason for the delay, fans remain eager to experience his latest musical offering. The album promises to be deeply personal, reflecting his journey, truth, and growth as an artist.
Ahead of the release, Davido has already dropped two singles—Awuke, featuring Jamaican dancehall star YG Marley, and Funds, a collaboration with Nigerian artists Chike and OdumoduBlvck.
Announcing the album on social media, Davido expressed his excitement, stating: “THE JOURNEY CONTINUES in 2025 with my new album, 5IVE!! This one is straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth. WE NOT WAITING THOUGH! Tonight at midnight I’m dropping a single ‘Funds’ with @odumodublvck & @officialchike.
