Davido Fans Anxiously Await “Awuke” Release Amidst Wizkid FC Taunts

David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has fans eagerly waiting for his upcoming single Awuke, featuring American artist YG Marley. The DMW label boss had initially announced that the track would be available on streaming platforms by October 31, sparking excitement and anticipation among his loyal followers, known as 30BG.

As fans count down the hours, Davido posted a fresh update on social media, sharing a video of himself and friends dancing to Awuke. In the caption, he confirmed that the song would officially drop by 6:30 p.m. GMT, reassuring fans to “be happy” as the wait nears its end.

Despite the excitement, Davido’s fans faced playful jibes from Wizkid’s fanbase, Wizkid FC, known for their dedication to Wizkid, who often releases his music with little notice. Many Wizkid FC members teased Davido’s 30BG supporters about the delay, claiming Davido was “copying” Wizkid’s release style. Comments flooded social media platforms, with some humorously claiming that Awuke was pushed to avoid clashing with Wizkid’s fan streaming parties.

One comment joked, “Fear of Wizkid FC is the beginning of wisdom,” suggesting Davido moved his release to avoid competition with Wizkid’s Piece of My Heart.

In another development, Davido’s recent TikTok session with Peller also stirred interest, as he reportedly received over 300 “lion” gifts from fans. Each lion gift, valued at $400, earned him and Peller substantial support from his TikTok fanbase, with fans humorously saying, “Peller don cash out.”
