Dayo Amusa Responds to Questions About Her Child’s Father
Renowned Nollywood Yoruba actress Dayo Amusa has addressed public speculations and curiosity about the identity of her newly welcomed child’s father. The actress, who recently gave birth to her baby, Oluwafirewamiri, in the United States on November 18, has chosen to keep this aspect of her personal life private.
The decision to withhold information about her child’s father has sparked widespread discussions on social media, with many questioning her reasons. During a live TikTok session, Dayo Amusa candidly shared her perspective, emphasizing her right to privacy and her focus on maintaining peace of mind and happiness for herself and her family.
Amusa, who has been a staple in the Yoruba film industry since 2002 and ventured into production in 2006, responded firmly to her critics. She questioned the motives behind the persistent inquiries, humorously asking whether those curious about her child’s father are searching for their own missing husbands.
In her statement, she remarked, “I want to ask those asking about the father of my child: Is it that their husband is missing, or was there a census conducted that revealed their husband’s loss? Because I honestly don’t understand. A child doesn’t just fall from the sky. It takes a man and a woman to create a child. So, don’t stress yourself about it.”
The actress also addressed individuals who have been critical or reluctant to congratulate her on the birth of her child. She stated, “If it’s not convenient for you to congratulate me, don’t bother—I won’t hold it against you. I’m a happy person, and that’s what matters most to me.”
Dayo Amusa’s firm stance reflects her commitment to shielding her personal life from undue public scrutiny. By focusing on her joy and the well-being of her child, she sends a clear message about respecting boundaries and celebrating personal milestones in peace.
