Elton John Reveals Slow Recovery from Severe Eye Infection

Iconic British singer Sir Elton John has revealed that he is battling a severe eye infection that has significantly impaired his vision. In a recent statement, the 77-year-old musician shared that the infection has left him with “limited vision” in one eye and that his recovery is progressing very slowly.

John expressed both the challenges and hope he is experiencing:

“I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” he said.

Despite the difficulties, John remains optimistic about his healing journey. His recent announcement about retiring from touring followed his record-breaking farewell tour, which grossed $939 million (£749 million) from 328 shows. This tour was the highest-grossing music tour in history until it was surpassed by Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour, which brought in $1 billion.
